It started in the summer of 2008. When everyone was on vacation and enjoying the humidity outside, we were inside brainstroming on how to get extra income for the household by producing something new and fresh.
Here we are 3-sisters - who love handbags, who love our culture and who are smart enough to be a manager, a doctor and a graphic designer. The least we could do is gather our braincells and come up with something brilliant. Weeks passed and it becomes clear that we should design a handbag; something that the 3 of us obviously love. Yes, a handbag with traditional flare!
After several trials and errors in finding the right fabrics, the right designs and the right bag-makers, finally we are able to create deBee bags: a perfect combination of affordability, durability, and a design that uses traditional Indonesian fabrics.
